Thanks bummy! I appreciate your reluctance to be under scrutiny so I will assist. I'll go out on a limb and say RL currently has the 2 most watched programs on Australian TV in 2023.WookieReturns wrote: ↑Tue Jun 27, 2023 8:44 pmWhen you give anything approaching a respectful post to respond to then Ill give it the apropriate treatment

What is going on here my dear fumble friends????? Your little game seems to be tanking disastrously on Fox. What is it happening? Have folk woken up to the fact that its a stumbling, fumbling, bumbling mess??? Has the bubble mentality been pricked??? Pray, do tell fumblers??????
I suspect the chickens are coming to roast lololololololololol!!!!!!!! Karma is a bitch lololololol!!!! Enjoy!!!!!

National companies prefer the reach of the AFL into all markets when it comes to product advertising . NRLs limited two state reach just doesn't cut it .
When the next broadcast deal pays the AFL a billion dollars or two more than the NRL ( as they always do ) we can all have a laugh at how irrelevant the NRL is in the context of a National market.

Consider the following.
Very strong competitions and participation numbers all over Australia.
Local Sydney metropolitan league over 100 years of history Local competitions in many other areas of NSW also been a big part of the community and strongly supported especially in the Riverina , Murray and far south coast.
Even in Newcastle , the competition is of a reasonable standard.
Ditto for Qld, many well supported community based competitions.
Cannot deny the AFL is a national competition just because TV viewing statistics in some states are only modest.
33 US states do not have a MLB team.truthbomber wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 9:25 amandBbear wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2023 9:27 pmIt is National enough for you and me.

can't outrate the simpsons in NSW , the ACT & QLD on TV
National sports & what they look like
the USA has 2.. gridiron & baseball , popular from coast to coast
soccer in England
Ice Hockey in Canada
would the ESL ever be on a secondary TV ch in London ?
the NFL in New York ?
NHL in Toronto ?
but
this silly little bumbling abortion from Vicderpia 40 years after its had teams in Sydney & Brisbane , still ... isn't popular enough to be shown on main channels
its as much a national sport as tiddly winx
