Lion approaching 50000 members 2024 a terrific result.
Broncos approaching 60000 members is a shocking performance for 's team in RL heartland.
( who until recently had no other RL club to compete with in a city of over 2 million )
Just goes to prove that RL is not the all conquering universally loved sport that we are lead to believe.
100000 NRL members in Brissie in 2024
& its not even a thing for us
the fumbling game learning its place in QLD
way way wayyyyy down the totem pole
But they are not real….you do realise that, don’t you…
like gws members ?
Agree - membership numbers are rubbery all over. I thi k they should only count 12 game or more memberships.
agree a member should be full time and paid up member where they are able to vote at meetings for the club
all the rest has been bent forged to make a club look bigger than it actually is.
all privileges should just be counted as Revenue for the club
(1 game members) 3 game members pet members baby members
list goes on.. (lets just say AFL started all of this first) NRL is just playing catch up

I think the clubs claim all these memberships - but when the AFL do an audit they have strict guidelines as to what counts - therefore no pet memberships I believe are counted. Wookie would know as he has posted on this before.

Strict guidelines
how could they know if you have or haven't signed up a goldfish exactly ?
does a birth certificate have to be provided ?

Good point. What I was referring to was that certain clubs actually sell “pet memberships” so they aren’t apparently counted. Same with some other categories too possibly.
