I think the AFL usually win when they go head to head in a direct comparison - not always but usually - like on Friday night, Thursday nights, Finals, etc. AFL lose out during the weekend when multiple games on though.

thats reach dummy( no one cares about that )
not the ratings

FTA ratings
AFL 702K
NRL 563K

after STV is included the NRL might have actually outrated the fumbling   :(/

those AFL ratings are .. very ... very soft ... waaaaaay down on the traditional opener
the AFL would be quite disappointed
& if 2 small regional NRL clubs beat them ( possible) .. they'd be suicidal     :(/ :(/

on FTA almost always

but the the NRL rarely lost any game on any night in 2023 when STV was included

Friday September 9th 2023
first week of finals
NRL
Broncos V Storm
1.510 Mill

On a thursday or Friday night it can happen, probably happened last night given how close the ratings were.

oztam ?? , you mean the mob that now suddenly uses... reach... as their primary reporting tool for TV data .. strangely . oddly out of nowhere
thats what they lead with .. distorting the real picture which has always been average ratings ... that oztam ?

Ozatm looks like they've been getting pointers from the afl on how to manipulate information
