Must be easy for hundred year old clubs to sell out stadiums that are the size of postage stamps.azif wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 12:53 pm2 sellouts coming today in the NRL , albeit small venues

Your total attendance for the round will be about the same as the first two AFL matches of the round.
Hottest tickets...lol.
Yes its almost like the Swans arent the biggest draw in Sydney on any given weekend they play at home.
its almost like the only people that follow the swans watch them at the ground , TV ratings indicate there is very little support for them past the singlets & noodle arms , fumbling & baaawwwllllllll at the ground , & most are derpsters formerly from vic anywayWookieReturns wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 2:23 pmYes its almost like the Swans arent the biggest draw in Sydney on any given weekend they play at home.
And the Lions hold their own against the Broncos lately.
And lets not even get into Perth and Adelaide where your sport may as well not exist.
You can be justifiably proud that your finally filling the small venues and getting the crowd averages the AFL was getting in 1989.
One day there might even be a year when the combined might of the NRL and Superleague equals the AFL for attendance in a season.
AFL 2023 - 8.143m
NRL 2023 - 4.335m
Superleague 2023 - 1.545m
yeah mate i thought around 10k when i was there..Fred wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 10:34 amCan’t speak for GWS game but I actually thought about 12000 at Suns but came in as 11000 ish which I thought was about right. Watched it back on TV and the upper stand on the wing had three or 4 sections largely full - and the whole bottom area at ground level on the wing was pretty full. Crowd was probably 55 -45 to suns at a guess but hard to gauge. Interesting what LeRoy thought from where he was.azif wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2024 8:58 amso what happened fumblers ?
a big noise coming from the west last week ( nearly all from victorians ) , turned to a tumble weed a week later
on a gorgeous night in sydney .. like stunning ..
8,034 apparently turned up.. again if that ground was 33% full Im not here
it was closer to 5000
& looking around the ground , very little orange , half of this tiny crowd was there for the away mob again
the GC now
heavy rain fell during the game but it came halfway in , so can't be used as an excuse for an abysmal crowd
not official but only 6 or 7K id say
no victorians , no crowd on the GC
the afl fucked their draw up for this ??
the fumbling games issues in NSW & QLD laid bare
again
that GWS crowd was shocking..Terry wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2024 5:45 pmJust checked out the Ginats game at No Name Stadium. After last weeks sugar hit of toothless Maggies fans somewhat filling the joint it's back to a couple a thousand desperates and a few homeless at todays mess. And most of those are wearing Norfs colours lolololol!!!
I might have to resurrect my old 'guess the announced crowd V the actual crowd' thread. It was a beauty. And very popular here.
I'd say there's 3 or 4k today. But they'll announce around 8k for sure. What do ya reckon punters??? Any predictions?

So much was said about the Matilda's World Cup and the flow on positive effect that would have for soccer in general. General interest for soccer in Australia remains unchanged looking at those A-League men’s and women’s crowds. How do they build interest outside of World Cups?
As for Rugby, gees that code is in trouble.
what tanty?
ah the goal posts get moved againAnd maybe go and tell the French and Italians how much more popular fumbling is in Australia than there little soccer comps are in their countries lolololol.
Because ya know ………da crowdds…..da crowdds!!!!!
Another irrelevant post bought to you by Terry the Obssessed.Sookie Wookie……first class dill!!!!
