NSW vs QLD has been played in RL for 112 years now. Thank goodness they stole it off the AFL back in 1908.

I beg to differ. You and your mob have ranted on ad infinitum that SOO was no longer wanted. So something has clearly changed in your exalted views.The_Wookie wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 3:18 pmNothing has fucking changed.
We miss the origin we used to have, but we also understand why we dont have it. The two are not mutually exclusive.
I don't expect the truth though!! It rarely rears its head on this site!!!!!
Stay well my friend!!!!

I wasn't my friend. I was simply enquiring into your apparent change of heart on the matter of SOO. Apologies if I have upset you. This is truly not my intention lololololol!!!!!!!!The_Wookie wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 3:36 pmi dont give a shit if you differ. Dont fucking tell me what i think.

Re: Who Plays Richmond in the WCC?
I’d love to have SoO played at the same level and passion that it is with rl and for it to mean something .... but I’d hate to have a star player injured from it as my club winning means more. I’d also hate to lose games cause a player was tested due to origin. In AFL club wins take priority for fans, players and clubs. So whilst I would love it ... I’m not wanting to pay the price nor are clubs or players I feel. Maybe an end of year conference ... which I think SoO in rl should be also.. let’s face it SoO in rl is do big they could play it on Christmas Day without concern.

Re: Who Plays Richmond in the WCC?
For a bloke who displays scorn that has to date back to '82, you sure do post like a 14 year old girl Terry.
As Wookie said, SOO was awesome, loved it as a kid, but I see exactly why we don't/can't have it. It just isn't feasible. Take your narrow mind out of your own game for a second, SOO is everything to you lot, we simply don't look at it like that.
I know I'd rather have the actual national comp than have what you lot have, and you'll find that's the broader consensus down here. Each to their own.
BUT
Would I love to see it, somehow with all the proper names and some sort of relevance?
Fuck oath. Awesome seeing the stars on the field together, going at 82% by foot. Shame W.A and S.A aren't one state.
Does it make us feel inferior in any way, or watch your SOO with pure envy?
No, that's another one reserved for your minds.

Never realised quite how much hate there was for AFL from our Northern friends.

No worries my friend. I guess we'll just have to agree to disagree.The_Wookie wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 3:47 pmIm not remotely upset and as Ive said, nothing has changed. I do suspect however that as we get closer to Australia's greatest sporting series the usual suspects will bring out the old chestnut again as paranoia and petty jealousy sets in. Same as every other year lololol!!!! Poor buggars!!!

Re: Who Plays Richmond in the WCC?
Thank you for your reply Catsy. Unfortunately you have completely missed the point of my question to the great man Wookie. I questioned his apparent change of thinking around AFL SOO. In previous years he has been amongst the cavalcade of fumblers here who go nuts when RL SOO gets close.Cats_Steve wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 3:57 pmFor a bloke who displays scorn that has to date back to '82, you sure do post like a 14 year old girl Terry.

The main tenant of their reasoning was that AFL SOO was old hat, not needed and not missed. There was never any mention of 'missing it'. No reflection or sense of affection for it. But today Wookie said he 'missed it'. I simply asked why the apparent change in his reasoning. I wasn't interested in the other claptrap my friend.
That was the point of my post Catsy. You have wasted precious minutes of your valuable time, and mine, on a issue not at question in this conversation. I have no problem with my friend that but I suggest you read more carefully next time. Maybe get some help from Mrs Catsy. Or re-read posts until you understand the meaning and nuance contained within.
I hope that helps pal. Keep morale high!!!! Oh...………...and what have ya got against 14 year old girls pal?? Strange behaviour my friend!!!!

Re: Who Plays Richmond in the WCC?
Are you for freaking real? As if any person would rather their state win instead of their club, the only people like that would be viewers who only tune in 3 or 4 times a year and afl fans that think they know it all when they obviously (like you), havent a clue. And as for your Garbage about a national comp, where's ya ACT team, you know, the capital of the nation, where's ya Newcastle team, ya wollongong team ya North QLD team ya Tassy team ya NT team and so on? National MY ARSE.Cats_Steve wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 3:57 pmFor a bloke who displays scorn that has to date back to '82, you sure do post like a 14 year old girl Terry.

Re: Who Plays Richmond in the WCC?
I suspect that is hyperbole my friend. I mean is it even possible to get 'laughed off the planet'. Do you have examples?? Or are you just venting meaningless platitudes due to your monumental hatred of Rugby League?? Please explain my dear friend.The_Wookie wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 6:47 pmnational doesnt mean fuckin everywhere otherwise your mob would be fucking laughed off the planet.ParraEelsNRL wrote: ↑Sun Mar 01, 2020 6:38 pm
