The swans on the other hand are given some assistance but due to the "go home" factor have at best managed to keep a decent team. Their success has hardly been startling. In fact in their time in Sydney they've been pretty average.

All they realistically do for the swans is help ensure they can maintain a respectable team. In fact one of the main reasons the swans will be a success in coming years is their academy which is now producing quality players like Mills and Heeney directly from NSW. The Swans are due to lose the COLA now they are producing quality local talent. They will remain successful despite cola for quite some time yet.
