Changes for 2014

Plenty seems to be happening with clubs and leagues. The following is either happening or rumoured to be happening for Season 2014.

*The Ellinbank District FL to split into an east and west division
*Burnside Heights (a new senior club) to join the Essendon District FL
*Canterbury to move from the Eastern FL to the Victorian Amateur FA
*Yarram to move from the Alberton FL to the North Gippsland FL
*The North East AFL to drop five clubs and go back to one division
*Tarneit (a new senior club) to join the Western Region FL
*Werribee Districts to move from the Victorian Amateur FA to the Western Region FL

That last one I'm sceptical about because Werribee were previously in the WRFL in the 90's and left in acrimonious circumstances.

Nope. And please, no BT lines! That guy needs to pull his head in at times, especially when it comes to umpires.

Oh okay so you're an umpire? Of course you'll defend them like your own family wouldn't you? I'll look at those vids when I can.

Yaram has a history of changing leagues doesn't it?

No it doesn't, Phelpsy. This is the first time Yarram has changed leagues since WW2. They've been a member of the Alberton FL since it returned from the war recess in 1946.

I think Canterbury used to be in Amos long ago - but in any event have one of the best grounds and facilities in the league but still have struggled for awhile.

I have a feeling you might be right, Swans. I seem to remember seeing Canterbury listed as an Amateur club somewhere in my records.

Fixtures are starting to show up, and there's nothing new to report - except that to my astonishment Werribee Districts in their move to the WRFL have gone straight into Division 1!

Well that's wrong as well - that's the merger mess that is DWWWW (Devon Welshpool Won Wron Woodside) that you're thinking of.
