However the focus will undoubtedly be the Sea Eagles, where he was employed from 2006 to 2010. The club tasted premiership success in 2008 during his tenure

"We've worked with the crime commission in the last week or so and information has come forward for NRL specifically that affects more than one player and more than one club," said Smith at a Canberra press conference where the CEOs from all the major sporting codes were present.

This is quite lamo. The focus is on Essendon, and their potential disgrace and shame [-X

Until that is solved all's we have is hearsay, which is what Xman refers to above, yet in other posts vehemently argues against.

Yes above we have yet another example of Xman's contradictory, topsy turvey, confused and befuddled ways. He says the darndest things and doesnt like to read much (see my signature :) ) But that's why we love this clown right? :D

Hmmmmmmm, hearsay......"Earlier, ARL Commission chief Dave Smith has revealed NRL players and clubs are under investigation following the Australian Crime Commission's (ACC) report into the integrity of sport."

Seems like the accusations against the NRL are from the ACC, where as Essendon requested an investigation by ASADA after cooments by an ex player about a waiver.

the NRL, knee deep in drugs! [-X

Teams across both codes are well fkd. But looking at the body-shape and strength emphasis of nRL players, I think hormone use is more likely in rugby league players than AFL. It's all just speculation at this point, time will tell how deep the rabbit hole goes here.

But werent you dickheads quick to jump on.Ask yourself whom would benefit more from strength inducing substances.League or AFL players. It would seem some butt hurt coming the NRL's way.The way the media has been handled is so typical. Afl on the front foot league head in the sand hoping it goes away. The NRL has been in discussions for days wouldnt it have made sense for them to come out the same time as the AFL.The usual reactionary fools.

Ahh :?> The only reason the AFL came out is because an ex player highlighted it. Smarten up pookus! I used to think you were a few thousand braincells ahead of the likes of stewie and Xman. Im beginning to doubt this. :|

Your a hundred percent right on why they came out no doubt. But the point I was making is why didnt the nrl get on the front foot and do the same.Smith has been in meetings all week with the ACC by his admission.A smart operator would have taken control of the media before it gets hold of them.Look at the AFL we already have oue scape goat your media will be hunting for yours.Good luck with that.

Strength is required in AFL as well so don't think you're getting away with that furphy!! It's all equal and like El said it's all speculation! Drac, you are right that there are teams in both codes in the $hit, but it also goes for A-League, ARU etc.
