Overlap?.... :(/ :(/ :(/ Give us a break! C9 hold the steaming rights for there matches . Meaning the NRL only has 4 or 5 matches that can be streamed by Telstra each week.
According to telstra:

Stream NRL

Get free access to stream every game of the 2019 NRL Telstra Premiership regular season live, fast and data-free in the NRL Official App.
you are correct, i asked a friend who watches some games on Telstra Network.
they get all games except Orgin and Grand Final / Ch9 Exclusives.

Pussy can you please confirm ? what exactly you were meaning?
I copied that straight from Telstra's site so they are either false advertising or pussy is wrong

AFL Streaming

According to the 2018 Annual Report, streaming of live matches through the AFL Live app grew by 13 per cent to more than 450 million minutes compared with 2017. The League reported more than 1.6 million Live Pass Subscribers.
This is the equivalent of 7.5 million hours, or 2.5 million full matches, and works out to about 12,000 viewers per full match.

NRL Streaming

Telstra reported that the NRL Official App delivered almost 400 million minutes of exciting rugby league action to a fan base that grew by an incredible 60 per cent this year. With 540,000 NRL Live Pass subscribers reported in 2017, this would give about 860,000 Live Pass subscriptions in 2018. This works out to around 6.7 million hours, about the same as 3.3 million matches and about 16,000 viewers per full match.

Or are those numbers flawed to sports capital.?
Flawed is not the word i'd use.

But there is a discrepancy between the two reports.

The AFL's report gives figures for the streaming of "live matches" only.
The Telstra report gives figures for delivering "exciting rugby league action" which would be all rugby league content at any time.

In my case, because i use my subscriptions to watch replays.
My minutes would be counted by Telstra but not the AFL.

So, it's not apples for apples.

bloody good pick up there sporty, much of the streaming on these apps would be match highlights which I would imagine would be one of it's major uses =D

How To Stream The 2018 NRL Season

'As NRL isn't our national game, fans in states outside of the east coast are probably not going to be served too well by free to air television in their house. However, Channel 9 holds the rights to the NRL and will broadcast three games live
on there streaming platform......'

Ok gotcha.

I think what this means is>>

Ch9 have rights to streaming on 9NOW for 3 games and exclusive games.

so this would affect Telstra's numbers for streaming.
as they do control the bigger matches of the round.

where as AFL are on Telstra only as Ch7 do not do streaming..

So Telstra still stream every NRL game but also compete with 9now for a selection of games? :hmm:

Yes so Telstra still stream NRL games>> but they compete with 9NOW who broadcast 3 games per week via streaming..

Where as in the AFL ch7 does not do streaming>> and Telstra has the rights to all of it...

So in saying>> NRL streaming views would be split...
and to make it worse>> the 3 Games are the Thursday / Friday Night and Sunday Afternoon.

Hopefully you can understand this

Fine. Pussy's figures are rubbish though because the NRL's hours are more than just live games which was the AFL's figure
