So we see more Sydney viewers for the Giants on a Sunday afternoon than Melbourne viewers for the Storm on a Thursday night prime time.


AFL

Richmond v St Kilda - Melbourne 146,000 + Adelaide 43,000 delivered a total of 189,000 5cities and 297,000 national

Gold Coast v GWS - Sydney 31,000, Brisbane 19,000. for a total of 50,000 5 cities and 86,000 national.

Perth had WAFL with 7,000

NRL

120k in Sydney and 105k in Brisbane., total 246k 5-cities.

comfortably by the NRL over the AFL last night

around the 150K mark

the total domination by the NRL continues in 2024 , of the 12 Thursday & Friday night head to head clashes between them & the AFL so far this year , I'd say the NRL has won 10

Tv Networks are licking the lips on what a score they received..

Tv Viewership for NRL is going gang busters pretty much a win against AFL
every thursday and friday..

there was a time when AFL would win this every week majority

what has changed ??

all this with NRL having 15 NRL teams in Australia and 1 NZ (which we dont even get figures for )
which TV deal Tripled.

while leaguies always knew their sport was under valued & under estimated
even we are .. gobsmacked ... by its progress in these last 14 months

from 0 to 100 in almost no time

The pain felt post the super league war took a long time to heal & the generation lost to the sport through greed & self interest has re grown.
the codes very bright future 30 years ago never realised , is now back on the horizon.
