YES
The afl and NRL position on same sex marriage has been validated by the overwhelming majority of Australians who voted yes for marriage equality.
Hooray for the afl and NRL for having the gonads to state their organisation's position.
Though I bet buzz and many other afl fans are disgusted that today they've officially been demoted to minority status
There there buzz there there. You'll just have to protect ur kids the best you can now ok?
I dunno... perhaps if you lifted some weights for a change you'd feel better?

Re: YES
Yes, The right choice has been made.
But it makes my wonder, how many people have the 2 leagues offended by proclaiming their respective support behind such a controversial agenda. Will there be ramifications?

Re: YES
Lol
Please don't try to compare the two leagues .
We have & have had gay people in our sport ..with no problems .
We had a gay anthem sung at our GF which was well supported ..
Your sport on the other hand has had no gay male players dare to come out .
& the afl took their gay support sign down ..
Was it because the homophobic fans got upset .
Lol
Overall it shows that people are tolerant & accepting .
Except buzz
He will be in meltdown mode

I just looked at the numbers and with around 4.5 million no voters have the league's potentially lost a stack of followers. Was it a wise business decision? I'm not too sure.
Nice to see Victoria leads the way as the most progressive state in the country.

Re: YES
I was in meltdown mode ever since my mum asked me if I'd quickly checked my mail to neatly fill out my ssm form and voted yes asap to post it back asap because apparently she'd forgotten when I told them both over dinner that I was not participating in the process because I thought it was a complete dogs dinner!AFLcrap1 wrote: ↑Wed Nov 15, 2017 2:08 pmLol

Ian downplays his coming out, calling his sexuality “the worst kept secret in rugby league.”
Despite being told by his coach that it wouldn’t be accepted, and his fears that his personal and professional lives couldn’t possibly mix, Ian decided to be open about his orientation after getting to know a child with HIV.
Ian thought he would open the door for other athletes to come out – but he was surprised when, decades later, the game hadn’t changed as much as he’d expected.
“I thought there would be a trickle on effect … I wouldn’t have thought, 20 years down the line, that only one other player had come out at the end of his career,” he says. “We like to think things have changed, but they haven’t really.”

So according to Roberts he was told by someone within the NRL NOT to come out. Despite this he did so, not because he felt supported or accepted, but because he felt convicted about someone he knew who lived with AIDS. Since coming out he has seen no real change in attitudes about gay acceptance within the RL community.
So you can take your sanctimonious horse shit about the differences in gay acceptance and shove it up your arse
