Another point - since when was Ireland a part of Great Britain? Northern Ireland is, but when did that happen? So how could English law effect Ireland hmmm? Aside from Northern Ireland, when did the English claim the land as their own? And refuse to give it back? The whole of Ireland was under Brit...

Willis, you need to apologise for that crack about "blaming everything on history"! FACT - for 179 years (from 1788 to 1967) the white man treated the Aborigines like crap And the British treated the Irish like Sh!t for centuries, the Turks massacred millions of Kurds, the Belgians the sa...

Gotta agree with Leigh Matthews... The AFL needs to forget about further expansion in QLD until the Lions get back on track ( which may be a long time away  )... I really think that its possible they have missed the boat completely on the Gold Coast... The NRL's decision to put a team there thi...

You obviously missed this part ...
The NRL's Brisbane, Gold Coast and North Queensland clubs rank first, second and third in home crowd figures in this year's competition
Three teams aren't enough in my opinion...

The Southport Sharks are propped up by a poker machine palace on the Gold Coast, who's members would know nothing about AFL. Its a social club .. do not confuse it with any meaningful support of Aussie Rules... You tell me how the game is travelling in Cairns.. daylight behind Rugby League as always...

4th NRL side for Queensland??

The Queenslanders have certainly been voting with their feet this year, and the Titans have been a tremendous success already... Last week alone you had 52k at the Origin, 48k for the SE Qld derby, and a sellout in Townsville last weekend... It appears that this weekend's Cowboys game has sold out a...

After a week where 125,000 people attended rugby league in QLD during a 72 hour period, it looks like the Lions are going from bad to worse... I must admit that I have predicted that the off field success the Lions had a couple of years ago was not really reflective of any meaningful support in Bris...

I once worked out the catchment overlap - it is significant since it takes into account the Wollongong/Illawarra, the Central Coast and the entire Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast. Thus people who add regionals to Oztam figures are doubling up a significant chunk of Australia's East Coast population. ...
